Personnel ManagersSeapeople is one of very few Cruise Ship Recruitment
Agencies in Australia and is well placed to assist in finding and selecting the large
number of well trained, well presented, English speaking staff in both Australia and New
Zealand, who are available to serve onboard your ships in a range of positions.
SeaPeople specialise in sourcing and placing staff in the hospitality,
passenger activities and entertainment areas on board, as well as the
support functions that include security, youth and childcare, medical and
retail. The
recent Olympic Games in Sydney and the Americas Cup in Auckland saw the opening up
of many new restaurants, hotels and other hospitality associated businesses, which
have
attracted young, enthusiastic service staff that are keen to work in the cruise industry. Every
applicant short-listed for employment will have references checked and we undertake to
select the best possible candidate for an available position. Copies of documentation will be held on file. We
can arrange travel and medicals, assist with visas and will organise basic induction, if
required. We
are happy to discuss any particular requirements clients may have, and although our rates are
amongst the most competitive in the industry, we are prepared to negotiate reductions for
volume of staff employed or long term partnerships.
Typically
our
one-off fee per introduction is payable within 15 days of employment and we
will refund a portion of any introduction fees or supply a replacement staff member should an appointee be deemed
unsuitable within this time. ApplicantsThe
cruise industry is the most exciting and fastest growing sector of the Tourism Industry at
the moment. This dynamic growth has created a
wealth of job opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced personnel working on
what is essentially a floating hotel. Although
the work is challenging and the hours can be long there are many benefits: 1. Good
pay with the opportunity to save money, as meals and accommodation are provided. 2. Travel
to exotic destinations with the opportunity to spend time off sightseeing. 3. Be
part of a multi-national team - meet some great friends, have fun. 4. Have
extended periods of holiday - generally after 4 to 6 months of service. 5. Air
travel, uniforms and medical coverage are normally provided after a suitable qualifying
time or completion of contract. It varies
from company to company. Of course, the cruise ship is providing a holiday for the passengers so there are some restrictions to what you can do on board depending on your status but if the sea-life suits you there are wonderful career opportunities for advancement to senior management on board.
