Cruise Industry Opportunities

The cruise industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of Tourism and is no longer the province of the rich and famous.  There are many styles of cruising at a price to suit everybody and the rapid growth of the industry is going to see another 64 or so ships enter the market within the next four years.  Most of these ships are designed to carry 1500-3000 passengers with the ratio of passengers to crew being approximately 2:1.

By far the largest cruise market in the world is the United States although markets in Europe and Asia and the South Pacific are developing quickly.  The Caribbean, Alaska and the Mediterranean are well developed as cruising regions but threatened over-capacity is forcing itinerary planners look elsewhere for alternative routes.  There is no place in the world now that is not being scrutinised as a potential cruise destination.

In order to man those ships cruise companies are keen to employ staff from all over the world that have the right qualities to meet the standards required.  SeaPeople can help both employers and potential employees to fill vacancies in most positions on board cruise vessels, so please take the time to read the following pages.
